Shopping & orders

QDo you offer shipping?›

Yes — we ship nationwide on most items. Small and mid-size goods ship via parcel carriers with tracking. We carefully pack fragile pieces using recycled and right‑sized materials whenever possible.

  • Processing time: usually 1–3 business days
  • Shipping cost: calculated at checkout based on weight/size and destination
  • Oversized furniture: freight or white‑glove options by quote; contact us before purchase

Tip: If you’re bundling multiple items, message us and we’ll do our best to combine shipments.

QCan I pick up locally?›

Absolutely. Choose Local Pickup at checkout and we’ll email when your order is ready at 512 Dundee Trl, Southern Pines, NC 28387.

  • Please pick up within 5 days. Need more time? Reach out — we’re happy to coordinate.
  • Bring your order confirmation and a photo ID.
  • We can assist with loading; please bring straps/blankets for large items.
QWill you hold an item for me?›

In‑store, we offer a same‑day courtesy hold and, when possible, up to 24 hours on large items. Online, items are first‑come, first‑served and aren’t reserved until checkout is completed.

If you’re driving in for a specific piece, call ahead and we’ll do our best to help.

QWhat condition are your items in?›

Our inventory ranges from brand‑new and gently used to true vintage. We clean items and test basic functions on electronics and appliances. Any noteworthy wear, repairs, or patina is described and photographed so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Vintage and secondhand goods may show age‑appropriate wear — that’s part of their charm and the circular economy we champion.

QAre prices negotiable?›

We price items to move while funding veteran programs. On select furniture and higher‑value pieces, reasonable in‑store offers may be considered. Online prices are typically firm. Unsold items are marked down over time.

Shipping, delivery & pickup

QHow are fragile items packed?›

We use double‑wall boxes, cushioning, and recycled fill, then seal and label each parcel for safe transit. High‑value glass/ceramics may include insurance or signature on delivery.

QDo you deliver furniture locally?›

Yes — we can help arrange local delivery through trusted partners for an additional fee. Share your address and the item you’re eyeing, and we’ll quote options and timing.

QWhen will my order ship and how can I track it?›

Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. You’ll receive an email with tracking once your label is created. Transit times vary by carrier and destination.

Returns, guarantees & authenticity

QWhat is your return policy?›

To keep prices low for our community and fund veteran jobs, most sales are final. If an item arrives damaged or was materially misdescribed, contact us promptly and we’ll make it right.

  • In‑store: report any issues within 48 hours of pickup
  • Shipped orders: report within 7 days of delivery (include photos of the packaging and item)

When approved, we’ll offer a repair, replacement (when available), or a refund.

QAre electronics and appliances tested or warrantied?›

We function‑check items for basic operation unless otherwise noted. Because goods are pre‑owned, they’re sold as‑is without a manufacturer warranty, but they should match our description. If something isn’t as described, please reach out.

QHow do you authenticate collectibles and brand‑name items?›

Our team researches provenance, hallmarks, and comparable sales, and we disclose what we know. Unless stated, we don’t issue third‑party certificates of authenticity and are not affiliated with the brands we resell.

QDo you accept donations? What items are best?›

Yes — donations fuel our mission. We gladly accept clean, usable furniture, home décor, housewares, clothing, tools, building materials, antiques, and collectibles.

We cannot accept hazardous materials, broken items, recalled products, or heavily soiled textiles. When in doubt, contact us.

QCan you pick up large donations?›

For furniture and bulk donations in the Southern Pines area, pickup may be available based on schedule and item condition. Share photos and your location and we’ll confirm availability.

QHow does consignment work with Veteran Thrift?›

We consign select higher‑value pieces. Start by sending item photos and details. Our team reviews demand, condition, and pricing to propose terms. After consignment, we market your item in‑store and online and pay out after it sells.
